The Ocean Course at Kiawah Island

The Ocean Course at Kiawah Island Golf Resort is one of Pete Dye's finest accomplishments and certainly one of his hardest tests. Measuring an astounding 7,873 yards from the U.S. Open tees, the course's 152 slope is the highest you'll find anywhere in the states. Even the most ambitious golfers will usually opt to play from the "championship" tees, which measure 7,356 yards and carry a 77.2 course rating & a 144 slope.

Characterized by sweeping, seaside dunes, The Ocean Course integrates seamlessly into the marshland and offers a true links golf test. The course was host to the famous "War at the Shore" Ryder Cup in 1991, as well as the 2012 PGA Championship & upcoming 2021 PGA Championship.
